Advanced Elements Airvolution2 Kayak Review
The Advanced Elements AirVolution2 is one of those inflatable kayaks that really tries to blur the line between inflatable and hard-shell. It mostly succeeds, but not without a few trade-offs.
Sea Eagle 473rl Razorlite Kayak Review
The Sea Eagle 473rl RazorLite is a top-tier performance inflatable that genuinely blurs the line between air and hardshell. Heavy to carry and not ideal for beginners or solo-only paddlers, but for tandem touring and serious open-water use it's one of the finest inflatables available.
Sea Eagle 385 FastTrack V-Bottom Kayak Review
The Sea Eagle 385 FastTrack V-Bottom is a well-built, fast-tracking inflatable that works equally well solo or tandem. The carry bag lets it down and pack-down takes practice, but on the water it's one of the best in its class for lakes, bays, and mild river paddling.
Aqua Marina Tomahawk Air-K 375 Kayak Review
A slick, budget-friendly inflatable with a genuinely stiff drop-stitch floor and some real potential — but a few design choices hold it back from being a great fit for average-sized adults.
Aqua Marina Steam 312 Kayak Review
A slick, budget-friendly inflatable with a genuinely stiff drop-stitch floor and some real potential, but a few design choices hold it back from being a great fit for average-sized adults.
Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame Elite Kayak Review
The most well-rounded inflatable in the Advanced Elements range, the Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame Elite is fast to set up, easy to carry, durable in the field, and genuinely fun on the water. If you're comparing the AE lineup and don't have a specific reason to go up or down, start here.
Razor Kayaks R2 Ultra Review
Built with the same materials found in rescue boats, the Razor Kayaks R2 Ultra is our pick of 2-person inflatable kayaks. It’s super high quality, versatile, and best of all - great to paddle. Read more in our Razor Kayaks R2 Ultra review.
Razor Kayaks R1 Ultra Review
Razor Kayaks’ R1 Ultra is number on in our best inflatable kayak review for a whole bunch of reasons. It’s super well-made, easy to set up and pack down, and excellent value.
Aqua Marina Air-K Tomahawk 440
The Aqua Marina Air-K Tomahawk 440 has good speed and tracking, is comfortable, has an open cockpit design and is easy to set up and pack down. Its fins are prone to damage in shallow water, though, and the footrests are awkward to adjust. Plus, it lacks built-in storage options. Overall, it’a a great inflatable kayak for casual paddlers, offering a good mix of performance and comfort.
Aqua Marina Memba 390 2P
The Aqua Marina Memba 2P has a stiff drop-stitch floor, great tracking, tough construction and comfortable seats. The customer support is lacking, though, and it’s not for whitewater use. It’s a kayak with hardshell-like performance without the bulk. While it's not meant for rapids, it's a fantastic choice for flatwater adventures.
Sea Eagle 370
The Sea Eagle 370 comes as a complete package, has adjustable seating and comfortable seats, and is stable and tracks well. It comes with an awkward paddle bag and basic paddles, though. It’s a reliable, fun option for lakes and calm rivers, just don’t expect it to handle choppy waters like a hardshell kayak.
Sea to Summit Trek Down
The Sea to Summit Trek Down is roomy and has a great warmth-to-weight ration, as well as great zippers. It’s not the most compressible for ultralight backpacking and it does have some breathability issues in mild/humid conditions, though, but overall, it’s great for comfort-focused people, but not perfect for ultralight or high-humidity conditions.

Therm-a-Rest Hyperion 20

Kelty Cosmic Ultra 20F
The Kelty Cosmic Ultra 20F is a quality bag at a great intersection of warmth, weight, comfort and cost. Though mummy shaped, it has a slightly wider foot box so there was a reasonable amount of room to move, the zips worked well and the internal pocket was conveniently placed.
Big Agnes Sidewinder SL 20
The Big Agnes Sidewinder SL 20 Sleeping Bag is perfect for side sleepers and is warm and roomy. It only has down shedding, though, and is not for back sleepers. Overall, it’s a backpacking tent for cold conditions.
